What is a good topic for public speaking?

I am having a dilema. I can’t decide on what to give an ‘informative’ speech to my class about in Public Speaking. I have to have a visual that ‘makes a break through’ with the audience. My first incarnation of the speech was going to be about how mass hysteria causes differences in description of encounters with strange creatures like the Jersey Devil of Mothman…

But that’d be too lengthy for a 5-7 minute speach and it doesn’t show how anything would work.

So any suggestions? And we’re being videotaped.
